Don't play archers much, so why not. It's interesting, even with no melee with 5 dex, 2 str & 15 evasion I can still melee trolls just fine.

Getting dangerous. I think I prefer having about 6 con to 3.

Unfourtunately for thuringwell the sil rolled under him. Killed him with 1 hit from that great axe of hador's house. Forgot that I'd eaten a herb of rage & hit morgoth too.

Carcharoth ran before I even started buffing. I think wolf-bane was around 6 or 7.

Honestly archery is my favorite...you can really kill most things risk free. The only downside is getting that first Sil is hard. Hell in earlier versions I have actually managed to kill V and have not been able to get all the Sil's.
I like archery because I feel like luck isn't as important. Granted maybe smithing is the same...but I never tried a smithing character before.

On 4.4.2016 04:57 Nivim wrote:
Haha, 'luck less important on a smithing character'. Only the first forge is guaranteed, and plenty of the smithing chars on the ladder include something to the effect of "was sabotaged by forge generation this game".

Re: Smiths - They don't need a lot of luck but it sure helps. Depends a lot on if you go to artifice or play more sensibly really.

& yeah felt pretty safe most of the game. Just 1 fairly nasty spot with werewolves just before I picked up wolf-bane. Falathrims have the same crazy dex as Feanors so stealth was pretty good all game.
