That said Elbereth is always useful. Even that low in song that'll work for anything early other than archers, wraiths, easterlings and immune things like spiders.
Elbereth because it's the only thing at 12pts jeweller that could improve early survival. Danger/grace because I don't want it competing with a grace amulet on a singer. I can't be bothered swapping in and out.
Of course as I could of started with Elbereth it only makes sense if I want other songs later (say Aule, Trees, Staying) perhaps. By 5 song for Trees Elbereth will definitely work. Not for Balrogs of course but Giants, Troll guards. By 7 for Staying it'd do cats, greater werewolves (if I'm uninjured), shadows, weaker Rauko...

Realistic my attraction to 1st forge accuracy is: good I've got artifice, now I don't have to worry about saving pts and trying to guess when the next forge will show. ..
