I'm starting to see what people mean about high evasion. I've ran a few like this to test it & the last 1 killed Gorgol while sandwiched by another orc with nothing in melee, a plain curved sword & only 1 more evasion pt (though he was wearing mail & a helm)

Apart from grabbing a little archery for pesky orc archers I've managed to stick to plan. It interesting, I can kill easterling warriors just fine with-out melee, trolls/orc captains would probably too hard without Glamdring but with just fine. The only hassle so far has been groups of easterling archers.

Miss typed. I meant orc thieves not archers. Even with the halved evasion you dodge a fair few at +15. & greaves, a round shield & fine great helm takes care of the rest. I'm probably having an easier time then a dwarf in mail (because of the criticals) against archers.

Pushed it too far with the diving, Gilim paired with a shadow forced me down a chasm & rushing some stealth failed to save me. It's interesting, it seems you can fight till at least 500' with no melee if your evasion is high enough. I did have Glamdring so it's hard to tell, but I suspect a gondolin long sword would of been enough.
