A pretty good attempt. I had just started putting points into Song in the (probably futile) hope of getting enough to put Morgoth to sleep. I was done in by falling through a false floor and being noticed by what turned out to be a Gwathrauko and had nowhere to run. Blasting the floor didn't seem like a good option, but I suppose dieing didn't turn out to be such a great option either. I very much doubt I could have beaten taptap's turn count even if everything went well from this point.

In the screenshot it certainly looks like two open doors right next to you of course it doesn't show whether something was in there.

Opponents out of their depth have modifiers to morale. Guess this sufficiently scared the werewolf at 950ft.

You have quite high archery, did you kill a lot of things? Or just insects, bats and the occasional lonely vampire?

You can't blast the floor on 950' anyways :(

Blasting up is surprisingly good in situations like this, the rocks sometimes squash dudes. With will 5 though, I think you have a very high chance of whiffing.

Yeah, the open doors are kinda embarrassing in retrospect. The trouble was that my light level was so small that the Gwathrauko had completely blacked me out and I couldn't see anything, so I didn't find them in time.

I did use archery to kill a number of opponents for the extra experience. Mostly by sniping at individual stragglers. I mostly ran away a lot (as the Notes show, I bounced around between 700 and 950 feet a lot). Exchange Places and Sprinting for the stairs got me out of several jams. And I was critically short of arrows: I found a few just before I died, but I spent well over a thousand turns with only 3 arrows and 12 poison arrows.

The dump has the Stealth rating artificially low: I assume the -4 is from singing Lorien, and I mostly went around in stealth mode for the extra +5, so was at 25+ Stealth most of the time. I don't recall that I ever got noticed by things walking past; only when something actually ran into me (or if I shot it).

Certainly looks strong, wonder about Listen (I don't run with Loremaster though), Vanish and your perception score. Found both tremendously helpful, avoiding bumps and losing slow high will opponents.

Wonder whether Keen Senses or Listen would have helped you here against the Gwathrauko.

Hot tip: !a inscription on melee weapon is OP for sneaking characters. It will prompt you before attacking a monster, even if you can't see it due to darkness or invisibility.

Listen would definitely been a good thing. I didn't think I was going to be able to get enough points of Song for a decent Lorien attempt as it was, so I wasn't spending on anything else at this point. And I probably should have skipped those last two points of Stealth too, but that was over and done long before.

I agree Loremaster was a questionable choice. But I felt I needed to put points into perception in any event, so it was only the skill costs, and a sneaky half-passive (passive/aggressive?) character like this doesn't find nearly as much treasures, so I didn't want to waste stat potions by id'ing them. Everything's a trade off.

Thanks for the !a tip; good to know.
