2 melee, 1 evasion. The RNG is on your side my friend. You shouldn't have been able to clear the first level. Naugrim are almost a challenge race; try a Noldor Feanor. Noldor are the most powerful race, Sindar and Naugrim are harder, and Edain are nigh impossible. Feanor elves have good smithing abilities too.

You also need more Dex. It's arguably the most important stat, affecting both of your fighting skills. Con is good, but you probably don't need more then 4 in the early game. Str is not very important most times.
