Half hour mark:
Currently at clvl 20 controlling a Bandit.

Moving along faster than expected. Basically, I controlled non-erratic monsters from the get-go. After finishing off the Thieves quest and Wargs quest, I went to the Swamp north of Outpost. I sought Water trolls, positioned myself, and spammed lots of Magic missles to gain levels. I carefully got my ring-bearer killed (it was one of the novice forms). Then, I lured a Lizard king in my direction. After this, I ran around letting my Lizard king do the work. Eventually, my Lizard king had enough and tossed me away, forcing me to find another ring-bearer...currently a Bandit. :/

Unlike Hugoya III, Hugoya V is not nearly as spectacular, despite leveling up so fast. This means - no Fire bolts this time. :( My Magic missiles, ability to move around, and Teleportation are my only hope for Hugoya V.

I need another Lizard king.

Since I controlled nearly a dozen pets up to now, I'm listing the notable ones and the current one.

Use the pet commands instead. 'p' then 'n' to dismount. 'p' then 'a' to dismiss. You can also mount a pet using 'p' then 'n' if you aren't already being worn.

By the way, it is necessary to *ID* jewelry prior to Absorbing Jewelry...? Sometimes, I'm not sure if the "ego" properties are being absorbed if I don't *ID* beforehand.

Upgraded from 3.1.1 to 3.3.1 without issues. I went ahead to upgrade another old PosChengband 3.x character. Hugoya V was a Ring Monster I played before the start of Compo 155. :)

3 hour mark:
Currently at clvl 27 controlling a Sorcerer with AC 65 and +18 Base speed.

Trying to remember where I left off. As you probably guessed, I headed to the Glass castle to see what I can take over. After a couple of tries, I scored a Sorcerer for control! Getting the Sorcerer on board was a HUGE PLUS! As mentioned above, I managed to used Glitter get a Sorcerer to pick me up (without putting up a fight) at Glass castle 40 while in a room loaded with Magic Mushroom patches (Ugh), this took place on a SMALL Dungeon level (Oof), and just after stairs COLLAPSED (Yike!). Just after the excitement, I teleported away and then I noticed a red 's'. Uh oh. But wait, it's Judge Fire, a PET. Ok, that's cool! I let the Sorcerer finished off some weaker foes and safely recalled (with the Sorcerer on board) WITHOUT getting killed!

I did notice that I now longer have innate Cold and Poison and also now have innate Electricity vulnerability...Ouch (although this is intended as designed). This said, I'll have to accumulate and absorb *a lot* of Rings to get the needed resistances.

Now, I'll have to figure where to go from here. Looking at my dungeons list, although I already visited some dungeons, I have not yet completed any of them so far.

I hope my Sorcerer doesn't kill me right away!

4 hour 42 min mark:
Currently at clvl 29 controlling nothing with AC 79 and +2 Base Speed....Accidentally dismissed my Sorcerer...whooops

Finished the Labyrinth, Forest, and Orc cave.

Was having a lot of fun until I accidentally dismissed my pet Sorcerer at the bottom of the Icky cave. I was stuck in a mish-mash of monsters. So, I teleported away and recalled back to town. I'll have to figure a way to get another Sorcerer or something as powerful since the Glass castle is "locked out". Maybe try Dragon's lair?
