Taking a break from my Possessor to play "The Ring".

Currently at clvl 1 controlling a Mean looking mercenary, who went "My precious" before he picked me (the Ring) from the ground.

Some questions:
What can I do with these?!:
1) The Ring 'Wooden Ring' [+10]
2) The Amulet of Cheapness (+1) {InCh}

Prior to this, my Mean-looking mercenary got killed by a Small kobold, who also tried to kill me right after that. I teleported away. I tried to lure a Novice mindcrafter with Glitter. But, he wasn't fooled by that. Teleported away again. I lured a Novice priest with more Glitter, and this one proceeded to pick me up!

For Rings, what's more important Intelligence or Charisma?

If I pick up all sorts of weapons on the ground, what I can do with them?!

Lizard king killed my Ring-bearer and me without hesitation!

IMO, while this monster race is a lot of fun, it is actually *very hard* to move along...How do know if I have a good chance of getting picked up by a Lizard, for example?
