Dabbling in smithing.

I quite like whirlwind.

Good call on picking up Song of Slaying. Combining that with Whirlwind is fun. The main downside of Whirlwind is you have to stay in open spaces for it to work.

Well with Flanking you want to stay in an open space anyway...

Has anyone ever combined whirlwind with knockback?

Not used to low perception. I drop from floor to floor through traps.

Odd defence. Quite high armour and quite high evasion, but nothing really high. Hope this works out.

I would very much like to have free action boots or greaves.

Tempted to do some amateur smithing at the next best opportunity (Mithril corslet?)

Your defense is sort of middle-of-the-road, but this usually happens with two-handers. Just get as much Str and Con as you can and win :) Definitely needs more Con.

Are you really dealing with darkness by dropping lamps? Doesn't this play havoc with you having to move around with flanking?

Typical way to die for me... not choosing my fights, no patience. Should not have attacked Ancalagon or only after getting dragon bane for a layer of security.

rip best axe ever :(

Died in a single 40 damage hit. The awkward quite high protection, quite high evasion is apparently not enough against dragons at least without dragon bane - I just can not bring myself to play rationally these days.

And yes, I use lamps that way. Usually I just dropped them in the room when something dark arrived. The corridor and with two lamps behind the gwathraukar was more showing off.
