Mirror master has been fun so far, after CL2 is it pretty smooth sailing for a fair while. I haven't managed to figure out how to use seeker beam at all, as far as I can tell there is no proper way to predict which mirror it bounces to and it obviously takes a whole lot of setup. Thankfully it's not a required skill as the first two attack spells carry you until CL29 and SUPER RAY, which is extremely easy to get double zaps with, getting over 350 damage for 30SP (22 with a wizard staff).

Right now I need some more rBase and rNether so I can actually start killing some proper things in the dragon caves. I get the feeling I'm not going to have any really effective damage come the end, so unfortunately my plan is going to be scum for wands of rockets I think.

Killing uniques at DL85 of Angband now. I have good speed (+18 base) but my equipment feels lame otherwise, at least my HP is good, I had a 111/100 life rating from birth. This class does seem pretty well suited to doing this, between dimension door and invulnerabilty you can be really aggressive grabbing things, I've even managed to just blink into greater vaults, grab the rockets and blink out.

For the eldritch mutations, you need to make a corresponding saving throw to avoid them (Chaos protects Hallucination, Fear protects Cowardice, and nothing protects Moronification). Generally, this means 2 sources to guarantee immunity, though the benefits of 1 source should be readily noticeable (1 source = 90% resistance at the moment).
