Sorry but I don't see any way a character like this shouldn't still get song of sharpness. Ancient serpents are too common and costly to fight otherwise, what other options are there really, shut doors on them all? Singing slaying is by far the easiest way to do the throne room too, you want a decent amount of song for it to be good, say for example 10.
