Hahaha, you deserve a prize for the most unconventional weapon. (Somehow -1,(2+1)d4 is pretty good though.)

Ah, I *thought* we'd pitched the stats so that a Sceptre of Fire would sometimes be a competitive melee weapon.

I used a sceptre of fire with a 5/1/1/1 hador once. It was pretty rad.

Nearly blew it. I got trapped in a corridor by two greater werewolves and then a KevinRauker joined the party. I was left on 1HP at one point. I blew all my Miruvor, Healing and Con to get through it. Going to be tough now, but I am pleased with my damage output at least.

Some nice trinkets added.

Now that is annoying. Switched to Angrist to take on the Ancient Amethyst Serpent but got jumped by Drauglin and friends. Ran out of healing and no time to buff up or change weapons. Should have taken the stairs when I had the chance, but I just haven't got the mindset to flee. :/

On 22.11.2013 11:59 taptap wrote:
Gundor is great. Your char looks really dangerous for the competition now, so fast. Will you go without sharpness as well (sceptre of fire doesn't support it) or change weapons?

I really had fun with D's in my run, dragon bane and the war hammer led occasionally to 50+ and even 60+ hits on the charge. You are probably doing similarly at least against the white ones.

On 22.11.2013 12:41 taptap wrote:
Too bad.

Didn't you do enough damage to take on serpents with a heavy weapon?

On 22.11.2013 13:09 Psi wrote:
Possibly - I never really thought about it. I get so careless when I get comfortable and I've also got to get out of the mindset that fleeing is going to cost me. This one had been really promising.
