Going 3 Con when you're first learning is a pretty bad idea imo. Fingolfin can do 2/4/4/4 IIRC, or 2/4/5/3 or something.

3/4/4/3 is also pretty fun

I had been playing 4/5 constitution mostly, but found I just kept getting my health whittled away without being able to hit stuff fast enough when cornered.

I tried this combination of higher dex and got further than any of my previous games so it worked until the shadow spider turned up!

Any tips on those spiders? I can't imagine any way I could have dealt with it.

See the thread you started -- I just answered a bunch of your questions :)

You have spent a LOT on evasion for this depth. (It's very impressive, actually). Buying keen senses and maybe inner light would have probably made it possible for you to see this guy.

You can't 3 4 4 3 with Fingolfin (only with Feanor), but 3 3 5 3 works just fine. Extremely low grace + no points in will and perception is always a recipe for blind / afraid / damaged by traps / run into web kind of death. 7 points of will would cost less than your last 2 evasion points and with 7 points of will you afford to take a lighter helm that doesn't reduce your evasion by 2 (+0, 1d2 is fairly common).

With 2 cursed items equipped I really would consider curse breaking. Which doesn't even cost you much as a Fingolfin.
