Here's an eventful story of how I found Hammerhand at Castle dlvl 30:
At Castle clvl 30, I encountered a 'Special' level. Hmm. What could this be? Found one artifact, Nimthanc, IIRC, but the 'special' message didn't change. At the east area of the level, I used a Staff of Object Location....and presto, a bunch of objects in VAULT guarded by lesser wall monsters, High-elven rangers, and other unpleasant monsters. So, I used the LOOK command to locate the items and guess which item could be an artifact. Looked around, and noticed a Steel Helm [6]. Could this be Hammerhand? Only one way to find out...I quaffed a !Speed, raided the vault, and scooped up that Steel Helm [6]. I used a ?Teleportation to get away, rested and I noticed that the level feeling changed to a NON-special one. I recalled out of the Castle and IDed the Steel Helm and lo and behold, it's Hammerhand!

Other than that, I have to look out for resistances. Furthermore, I might switch to the Great crystal drake ("D"), if I can find it again.

Since last time, I completed the Forest and Orc Cave. That Orc Cave surely made my day by giving me that *awesome* Beaked Axe 'Fire Bland.' I took out some more opponents at Telmora's Arena. I had a close with Barney the Dinosaur who breathed Chaos 2x and brought my HP to double digits and caused an albino mutation, even though I had 1x Chaos Resistance. In spite of that, I was strong enough to take the reptile down and win the fight. I went to Zul to get rid of the albino mutation.

Now, I'm closing in on the Camelot Knights. I think I can knock down all of them even without Blindness Resistance. Doing at least > 400 damage is going to hurt.
