Did you try to kill everything, or did you sneak around a lot to conserve arrows?

I'd still like to see versatility moved to the melee tree and reversed (so that your archery score gets affected by melee and not the other way around). Make early archers suffer a bit :)

Yes, archery goes very high on raw power level, if not quite as high as in previous versions. That is at least somewhat balanced against the other challenges of a successful archer, such as positioning and ammunition, but it allows them to be very strong in single fights.

I'd also note that your character is just pretty strong overall. You would probably have found the endgame fine with a melee build with a similar amount of experience and gear (though killing V might have been out of reach).
