And Tolkien said, "Lo! Let there be elves that suck." And henceforth,
the Falathrim tread Middle Earth. All tremble and quake at the very
sight of the loathesome granola eating suck-elves.

I just mainly wanted to show off the -4, 4d6 axe! What a beast!

I could really use some healing and stronger armor. I've only found 1 corslet all game, and very little healing.

lol, yeah. Frakkin Falathrim. Watching Clouded and Elliptic nab the whole set made me at least attempt to nab the set too. I doubt I'll get the humans, but the Falathrim aren't much removed from Noldor, and I already have the Noldor and Naugrim collection.

Yes, THE AXE. If I can stop fizzle-farting around with singing and other abilities I need to get my melee up and just gung-ho it, however, I now have in my possession a BLACK BLADE. Makes me hungry for sammies. ORC SAMMIES.

I usually find a gauntlet of strength by now... in fact, I sort of count on it. WHERE IT IS AT? Also, need to buy that point-o-strength.

Stop looking at my character box and upload that video! I am dying here! lol f5f5f5f5f5f5

Durin is awesome, but I don't want to be double hungries! It'll be great if I decide to two-hand it at some point. I've already got fire covered twice without him.

Suck Elf needs Nature Burger, badly...

Actually, this is the archer specialist elf. He gets double archery picks for free and melee affinity. I chose him first for the better dex score.

I found the -2, 2d8 heavy armor! I don't know what it is, but I'm sooooo happy! I'm also wearing Drauglin's coat, and even as a heavy protection player, I don't think I've ever really worn it before since it hits you with -3 to accuracy and evasion. But, with a few more points into evasion, it ought to be okay, and my accuracy is just fine.

A smarter setup is probably two-handing Anguirel for faster killing, with the measly 9-36 protection with +22, 3d11 sharp weapon.

I had a fun time with the HONKING AXE, but at the time it cost me too much protection... Now, it cost me too much accuracy.

Hmmm, I could buildup accuracy in the throne room, then switch to the axe! If I even get that far. I seem to keep burning through my consumables.

On 28.6.2013 21:09 HallucinationMushroom wrote:
Alright, one Sindar down! I went from +9, 10-43 protection to +17, 8-28 for the big fight, and dual wielded Anguirel and Aeglos. Even with the big ramp up from slaying, it wasn't a quick knockout... well, by standards set by my previous characters, anyway. Rapid attack 2h Anguirel would probably have been a deadlier choice.

Hmmm, not to decide how many silmarils to take out. Oh, and the loot. There are some chests to plunder, and maybe more monsters. Time to probably bulk the protection back up...

Glaurung is a great dragon, he's not supposed to drop things -- his items are supposed to be generated as part of his hoard. I dunno if he even gets a hoard if he appears on 1000', but I don't see why not?

Quite right about Glaurung. He'll get a hoard on 1000', but not as big as his hoard if you encounter him in his lair (where there are a lot of extra items placed in the vault).

If you had Anguirrel + Song of Sharpness + Rapid Attack + Concentration/Focused, Morgoth would go down in record time...

How easy or more difficult was it to take down Morgoth with Anguirrel + Song of Sharpness alone vs ONE source of sharpness + Concentration/Focused + Rapid Attack?

On 29.6.2013 02:41 debo wrote:
Well, he had two-weapon fighting, and song of slaying gives a way bigger potential melee bonus than concentration would with 11 perception, so I think it wouldn't have been much different either way for this character.

Yeah, I don't think conc/focus attack would've been much help. I had to heal and rebuff a few times during the Morgy fight, which resets the conc bonus. Choosing Aeglos was just for kicks, but if I had known it would make it so much tougher, I would've gone the rapid attack Anguirel approach.

I should've manned up and did this without singing bonus and tried Anguirel and concentration and knockback to boost up a good conc bonus, then switch on rapid attack and see how far that would take me. I would have to have speed though I would imagine, and it would probably wear off right when it was time to get attacking.
