If you're trapped in a room of them and need to wade through them to get out, eat a herb of rage and jump in. It's great fun, although very dangerous.

If you're having a hard time getting to deep depths, I'd start playing only Noldor Feanor artistry-start characters for a while and just keep going until you make it a long way. The other races are fun to use but are arguably worse in every way than the Noldor.

You seem to have learned the basic rules, now it's all about learning what decisions to make when you meet specific monsters and challenges. It takes a while :)
