@!#()*$&@#(&*$ Shadow spiders!!! I hate them hate them hate them. Killed more mid level char than any other! And always seem to catch me from behind while setting up a different fight! And i don't like having to build around one type of enemy, typically leaves me open to other ones. And i know spiders are territorial....IF you can get out of line of sight. Hard to pull off in a lot of situations, leading to essentially an insta-death stretched out over 5 turns... grrr

Trifecta - blinded, poisoned and bleeding. just missing stunned, afraid and hallucinating. Good thing it was a hallway and only 2 enemies...

Getting a combination of Keen Senses + Inner Light + source of Brightness would be helpful in detecting these bastards. To fight one, you need high evasion + True Sight to avoid getting hit and to resist blindness respectively.

Also, Naugrim and Edain are challenge races, hard enough to get anywhere in my experience. Stick with Feanorian 2-5-4-3, to get hits in with DEX. For me, I almost always play a Melee-focused Fingolfin 3-4-4-2. And then, when you're really more experienced you can move onto the more challenging setups the big boys do.

Another that helps is getting Boots of Speed via Smithing. With Armoursmith and Enchantment, you need 9 Smithing and 500 spare EXP. These boots of Speed are helpful in running from Danger when you know you've been spotted
