1. I wish * could be used as a drop/buy all command as in angband.

2. Would be nice to have the weapon info within the character screen and knowing how many + str or + dex until getting another blow. I'm not sure if I should just pump it into str or dex at this point.

So far this is a great character, happy with the versatility of the mauler class so far. Found a nice resist piece and +spd early. Having only one blow for round sorta sucks but Ani really packs a punch with her crits and splatter. Curious how this class will be in the end game (if I make it there).

Debo I don't think I like the sound of HallucinationMushroom...as I've never gone past lvl 10 yet prior to this character I'm sure some cruel fate awaits me...

Most uniques so far die within 3 rounds and are feared within 2. Got lucky and found my heavy lance when I was lvl 4.

Well taking things slow as it's all new to me. I know from playing angband that Free Action becomes rather important aka have it or you better know all the monsters that can paralyze you and avoid them. Hoping free action turns up or I find it in the black market soon.

I've had a few near deaths so far, the monsters from angband I know what they do but as it's the first time playing any variant there's a lot of new monsters I probe whenever *I think* it's save to do so which has been interesting.

Anyone know how many uniques are in this variant? Guessing several hundred as I'm no where near the end game yet.

On lvl 55 I got the something special feeling and detected enough to find a vault with some baddies inside as well as several promising looking items - one unknown ring and one unknown amulet which were both possibly artifacts as well as some heavy weapons. There's Dwar, Cyaegha, Thuringwethil and one other unique I don't recall.

There's also a bunch of "normal" monsters which are ??? to me as I've never found one before i.e. Hell Knight etc.

Cyaegha I've never seen/dealt with before. Everytime I detect him via telepathy I get either confused or start hallucinating. Yeah he won't be fun. Thuringwthril I remember from angband hits to confuse....not good.

I start to clear outside around the vault only to have a lesser reaver actually break it open! eeps so I teleport out of danger but now everything is free.

So I start clearing the level and searching for items to help me. Use my potion of enlightenment, there's a potion of healing and several curing potions. I start making my way to the pot of healing only to run into a random unique "Petshop". Back and forth battle with an Ent joining towards the end, kill them and continue. I continue towards the pot only to have Dwar there waiting for me and blocking me. He summons earth and blink hounds. Dumbass. I slaughter him quickly.

Cyaegha is hot in pursuit and I know he'll be in line of sight. Decide not to risk it and teleport again. I'm unable to get to the potion of healing as Cyaegha is fast. With some creative tunnelling skills I trap Cyaegha in the southwest corner of the dungeon. I test it for awhile making sure he's stuck. He is. Time to move on.

When killing some trash I pick up Destruction scroll. I lure Thuringwetil out of the vault and destruct removing her from the equation. Detection reveals that there's only trash in there now. The end is in sight.

From the destruct zone I break open a path to the vault to funnel the monsters out. First out is a Troll King, then a thunder bird kill them easily enough.

Next out is a death scythe, it's a ??? to me. I'm at full life. Still I've never seen one before so I decide not to risk it. I teleport it. It resists and slaughters me within one move. I don't even get another move to teleport away.

I'm not sure if having fear resist would have helped? My speed was pretty low also choosing to have nether resist instead.

Happy overall with my gameplay, shouldn't take me nearly as long next time. With be avoiding death scythe's next time!!
