Saithnar is reasonably hard to survive with in the early game if you want it as your primary -- shadows are very hard to hit for a new character. The +3 Dex from Charge really helps. Of course, I could have just used alternate equipment until a bit later, but that's hardly any fun.

@HM: I went the follow-through route, and it saved my butt quite a few times. I cuisinarted all the drakes in Glaurung's lair with 2x charge + 2x hit + opportunist when it tried to flee.

I'm glad I was able to go out with a bang. Sadly, the present sort of 'cheapens' the win a bit. The fact that I didn't have to put any points towards song of sharpness at all made this guy all the more powerful. (Song of sharpness stacks poorly with stealth characters anyhow, so I usually find myself going for Woven Themes and Song of Silence, which is very expensive.) The long meat-grinder of characters left in Avatham's wake this month are evidence that no amount of a starting advantage can really help me that much at this game :D

Stealth-splatters are way fun!

To answer the concentration question: the second attack/weapon doesn't cause problems for concentration, but you no longer gain more than 1 point of bonus in a single round.
