Alas, poor Nengweng. I got The Spear of Aiglos as a Christmas Present, so built up around that. Unfortunately, I delved too deep, and found myself with a cursed great axe of fury - in retrospect I should have taken Curse Breaking.

That was fun, though.

I would say your 0 Dex was probably your biggest liability :) I find that high-protection/low-evasion builds start to break down around 600', as you start to find monsters who hit hard enough that it's not a panacea anymore. (Shadows are definitely one of these -- I believe their touches ignore armor.)

Looks like it was a fun run, regardless! I love playing Naugrim in Sil, So splatty.

Oh, I agree that low dex was always going to make it hard. That was part of the fun, though! :)

Yes, Shadows pose problems because they ignore armour - I'd killed a couple though, as with high health and decent damage I can usually get through. This time though I was playing pretty quickly until too late - I was on 1/3 health when I realised I there was a shadow and I should wear my helm of true sight, at which point I was sandwiched, and it was always going to be tricky.

Did you find the Wrath effect on the axe to be very noticeable? Does it even make a difference when you have -1 stealth?

Orodruth at 350 ft is pretty amazing -- I'd forgotten that was even possible. Aeglos does sound like a fun present. I would ask whether you found the stealth investment worthwhile for Opportunist, but since you died 100 turns later, it would be difficult to tell.

debo: I think Wrath didn't help, as it made it harder to whirlwind (as they follow you into corridors more). Not that I was really up to doing much whirling at this point...

half: Yes, it was pretty fun! I was a little sad not to be a better smith ;) Opportunist I think would have been worthwhile, and was also going to be my route to Rapid Attack (which would have been good with Aeglos as I had more strength than it could handle).
