Another attempt, similar to previous try. Stealth, speed and exchange places and not fighting if I dont have to or seem to gain from it.
Have been compensating low melee vs hard-to-hit monsters by throwing spears, but wit Str drained I can't carry enough and I just picked up a nice bow, so future for spears/bow is to be decided.

Need to restore Str or lose some stuff (normally I never move around with burden but last thing before save was to pickup a staff)

Alone by a smithy 3 use --> tempted to get smithing and make at least a dwarf mask and a shovel. But I could use more melee and stealth too. And definitely lore mastery.

What do you feel is most urgent at this point?

I wouldn't take smithing, as you've already dumped a bunch of XP into abilities. I find with stealth characters that it's better just to focus on stealth and melee in the early game, and then gradually add abilities later on. (I usually don't take assassination until 900' lol)

One very simple thing you could do with smithing would be just to take Weaponsmith (300xp total for a Feanor) and make a mattock. I wouldn't dump extra XP into Armorsmith for the Dwarf Mask, anything that breathes fire up to 700' should be avoidable by stealth alone IMO.

A few options off the top of my head:

- keep building stealth + melee, maybe work gradually towards lore master

- Take advantage of Death's Sting and pump archery a teeny bit, just so you can slow monsters with Crippling Shot during getaways

- Finesse (this is a no-brainer)

Next time, see how far you can get without taking dodging/sprinting + assassination so early. You have a sick light radius too, so Keen Senses may have been jumping the gun a bit. (Makes Lore master more expensive)

Not sure that helps at all haha. I'm sure the min/maxers in the house will have much better advice for you.

For the record, another fun way to start stealth characters is to use the Artistry start (courtesy of HM), take only Melee and Smithing in the early game and use the evasion from your equipment to survive. Add all extra XP into Melee and Stealth as you go along, and gradually replace your evasion-y equipment with stealthy stuff instead.

The problem I have with going stealth early is that it's very easy to die around 300-400', when really you want to be killing everything up to 700' if you can just to get the XP. I still play stealth-from-the-beginning once in a while, though, just for kicks :)

OK one last thing and then i'll stop -- you're not doing anything with your Voice right now. Song of Silence is incredibly useful for stealth chars :)

Got song of Silence - a very good tip.
Also found a herb of restoration so I could make (and carry) a mattock + arrows and got some archery skills. First shadow spider kill was with the new bow and it was very effective. It got crippled many times and never got close to me.
