Beren could marry her if he brought back a Silmaril, you saw your
chance: you'd just have to go and get two.

Ouch! Thought I was doing fairly well until I ran into this room with three grave wights. They slowed me, and I used a turn to switch to Elbereth. When they darkened the room this meant, with my shadow cloak, I had no light radius. I should probably have switched cloaks out, but tried to build up sprinting to return to normal speed and make some kind of escape.

I should probably not have retreated down the corridor to their room to begin with. I was running from orc archers in a dark room, but I'd have been better using the stairs and rerolling the level.

Interesting idea, using charge.

I'm pretty unsure what the best route for this character is. Your archery build definitely looks plausible.

It seems like Charge might be at its best for low strength characters now. That wasn't exactly the intention of the change!

I should obviously have spent some experience at the end, but I wasn't sure what to buy. More song to keep Elbereth ultra-effective could have been a good idea.

Yes this character has massive survivability because of it's Elbereth, but I cannot figure out how to actually kill things reasonably early on. It feels like the game is mocking me by generating many more orcs than usual, as I spend forever trying to kill them before giving up and singing elbereth more.

I've been finding Power and/or Charge help up my damage, and Song of the Trees is great against orcs and any other light averse enemies. Sometimes there's a frustratingly large pack of orcs and I'll just sing Elbereth to not have to deal with them, but usually I can kill them.
