I'm thinking that I would try a tank type of character, so I'm probably not going to take Stealth this time around.

Finding Angurel was really lucky and that helped speed my game up...while I have had a lot of close calls since I have to fight my way through the dungeon rather than sneak through Angurel has really helped cut a lot of monsters down to size....but those troll guards are really hard. I always thought they were kinda weak monsters but they hit hard and if you don't have Stealth they tend to fight you in clusters....
I'm kinda out of my comfort zone...here.

I forgot to mention finding Aegnor which comes with Concentration. Concentration is pretty damn awesome and really helps if you are attacked from both ends in a corridor since you will eventually be able to kill the monster in front of you.
This game has been a good learning experience for me.

Debo: I know...part of me wants to go for a ninja build...I mean I have all the right stuff for it. But I've done that build before : ( Hmm. Maybe I'll save scum ?

Too many close calls with this build...I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or this build just isn't as good as a ninja build? I know it isn't as good as a stealth sniper build, but I expected that. I just seem to be getting into too many fights.

Why aren't you using a shield?

Scatha: I'm waiting for a good one. BTW how does Song of Mastery work? Do I have to pump up song for it to help?

On 3.10.2012 00:10 Scatha wrote:
You roll your Song against their Will + sound distance + 5. If you win, they miss their turn. At Song 16 you will find it helps you a lot against some enemies (e.g. it would be great against the Troll Guard), moderate against most (a bit like being fast), and not that effective against dragons and some of the deep uniques.

Scatha: How much Song would you say is needed for Mastery to be effective against dragons and Raukar?

Well that sucked...I got jumped by 3 master vampires and me all out of healing...I should have used stealth...
