Solid attempt at a Melee character with points on only Melee/Evasion/Will.

Unfortunately charge wouldn't help you much with that weapon -- 7 * 1.5 = 10.5

2 of your 3 extra strength points are going nowhere :)

Might be worth trying this build with Feanor, putting 2 points into smithing, getting Weaponsmith and making like a 10.5 or 12lb greatsword or something. Not sure if you'd need more Grace for that, though -- or more Smithing.

IMO Charge's position in the ability list now correctly indicates how late you should be getting it -- it's not really that useful until midgame now. I find Finesse _much_ more useful. Haven't played with Power much, though.

Hmmn actually, it might be interesting to make a 0 Str character with a higher emphasis on Con or Dex, and using Charge to compensate for crappy Str!

Looking good! I always like looking at your characters, they challenge me to be eliminate stuff and fluff and focus on the carnage.

Do you buy sprinting to help with getting extra charges, or is it a defensive thing, or what? You convinced me to buy charging back when it was too good, but I've yet to be convinced to buy sprinting before Silmarils. Also, it makes other evasion things much more expensive. I'd figure you for either a heavy armor and maybe even a crowd control fighter. Anyway, just my observations, we all play differently of course!

Charge is now _weight_ dependent? That's news to me. :)

I use Sprinting for _both_ getting extra charges and for running away.

Charge in 1.1 "just" gives you +3 str and dex when you charge-attack. Hence you'd be hitting as if you have 7 Str with this guy, and two-handed means you only get 1 extra side per 1.5lbs of weapon weight.

I get it now. I kept picking Charge as if it was working like its v1.0.x counterpart. *facepalms*

Actually, are you still on the floor with Orodruth? You could put 800xp into smithing now to get weaponsmith, and with Orodruth you could make a sick greatsword. (Although the slays on Gondolin are better against those monster types, for sure.)

On 18.9.2012 00:47 HugoTheGreat2011 wrote:
Unfortunately, no. I skipped Orodruth because I didn't have enough EXP for Smithing abilities.

Got my hands on Glend, and an array of other cool ego weapons.

At some point at 900ft, I mistakenly increased a point on Stealth. After that, I decided 'what the heck...' pumped up the Stealth, and get Disguise, Vanish, and Dexterity. I have to admit, this was a smart move on my part, and is keeping me alive.
