WEAPONS

SO MANY WEAPONS

Seriously, look at that inventory! I think I can slay every single kind of monster-type there is! :) (Except wolves, I guess. Hrrm. Even wargs have been falling easily to my raw might, though, as long as I choose my fights carefully.)

I'm modelling this build based on Psi's 'notsmith' character. Turns out if you invest carefully in melee, evasion, smithing, and perception in the early game (instead of going full-bore on one or two of those), you can do quite well.

Dramborleg was an incredible find, though. I don't think I'd be taking names the way I am without it. I've been OHKO'ing trolls left and right this game.

I was originally going to switch over to stealth/assassination later in the game, but now I'm not so sure! Heavy weapons sure are fun, and I've got my eye on that Great Axe of Hador in my inventory.

I forgot to mention -- I was just playing this character as a warm-up, and then couldn't stop when I was finding so much light, True Sight things, Piercing arrows, etc. I've already come across about a total of 60 (+3) arrows in small batches here and there. WTF RNG?!

*knocks on wood*

Dramborleg is really good because of its hit dice. Watch out for the Battle Axe of Hurin when you encounter it...

When you start so many great things in Sil, sometimes the RNG can twist your fate around you... Don't be surprised if you encounter a Keremrauko at 600ft or end up in the Chambers of Thu. That canine 'guardian of Morgoth' tends to lurk in that Chamber (as far as I know), and he's *vicious...*

So far so good... cats are a pain. Had an epic moment where a sapphire serpent woke up and roflstomped 3 fire drake hatchlings for me :)

Tried to take down Nan, and he damn near killed me 3 times. Wayyyy too much HP on that guy for me.

Nan is kill-able with Melee 15 and Evasion 16. When you do encounter him, give some space, and sprint-charge at him. If your HP drop to 25 or less, move away and heal. And repeat.

Stupid death. I was well on my way to escaping a pack of cats, when I typed '1' instead of 'Q' (to quaff). They each got a hit on me, and I was toast. :(

An Herb of Rage + Orcrist would have helped in this case

OK, I can't help it -- I need to run another one of these. I should be recording more Stealth archer videos!!

Archery schmarchery, killing stuff with big honking axes is way funner.

I think this guy took all the good stuff. The next 3 characters I played couldn't find squat. The last one got to 400' without finding any armor at all :/

*This* playstyle is very similar to how I play stealth-charger...Not to mention that I second HM's comment.
