Was the first attempt while taking my time, the attempts after all ended quickly because I started to lose patience as always.

Anyway I used a lot of silence this time and went for early listen to try and avoid wargs best I could. I died because I entered a room with a bunch of trolls and an amethyst serpent and when I opened the door behind them cat warriors poured out and I got a bit trapped, it was quite risky play, I need to be more careful around 750ft next time.

I did get some good finds with the spear, cloak and boots.

By the way, can I have confirmation that Cs have some sort of smell mechanic and I'm not assuming things? They notice me from out of LOS way more than is normal. I dread distant howls...

No smell mechanic (though I'd like to have one in the future...). Just a better than usual perception score (the second number in the A: lines in the monster.txt file).

I'm impressed by the turncount for a game that was "taking your time". :)

We've talked about giving wolves a sense of smell, but no, it isn't in the game separately from the general stealth mechanic. They do have higher Perception than most enemies. Do they notice you while you're singing Lorien or otherwise making noise?

I tried a couple of these characters after I saw what you were doing... got down to about 700' but I gunned for Song of Mastery instead of putting points in stealth. Didn't work very well, most monsters at that depth are pretty Will-y :)

Scatha: Not particularly when singing lorien, it's not something I've only noticed on these characters, perhaps it's while making noise but sometimes it seems to happen while I'm just walking around.

debo: I looked a little at mastery, but I think you need so many song abilities otherwise it's hard to afford any more.
