Not having much luck getting out with these...

Probably could have played better, at least quaffing con right off and maybe using freedom (but I don't know if that works), I was sort of tired so that happens

I think freedom is supposed to work, but I've never had enough grace to want to try it out in a real pressure situation like this. Crazy fast man,... crazy fast. Impressive.

I believe _freedom works, but with 0 base Will it would probably be tricky. !str is my preferred method of getting out, and even that requires 2+ turns.

Oh, it works on Will? Good to know!

Yes, it's a Will roll. It might be that a few points' investment and Channeling would be a good investment for this kind of build. Song of Freedom is also possible, but pretty expensive ...

I agree with Scatha. Traps, and especially web traps are really bad for characters like this, so it is worth investing in something to overcome them. Another approach is Eye for Detail. That gives a +5 bonus to perceiving traps. The difficulty is 5 + half the dungeon level, so 5 + 19/2 = 14 at 950 ft. You have perception 13, so have a decent chance of noticing them when adjacent and a slim chance of noticing them from two squares (there is a -5 penalty per square of distance). With Eye for Detail, you would have an 85% chance of noticing them when adjacent, and a decent chance of noticing them from two squares. Basically, you would step on 1/6th as many undiscovered traps given your perception and current depth.

That does sound good, I have had a number of late web deaths and a spiked pit one too. The thing is, going as fast as I can, I can just barely scrape the XP for the things that I need, so I'd probably have to sacrifice something. I've thought a little on what I could lose from this build... Losing sprinting would mean changing my strategy heavily. I think I could deal with no listen. I haven't fully decided on lore-master, I sort of don't want to have to ID stuff but I don't really use consumables/jewellery at all, though dropping lore-master might actually get me less XP overall, I should probably test that and how good song of elbereth is, seems like that could be good for the ascent.
