Well Bolg dropped the randart xbow at dl21 in angband and its barely equal to my old +10+10 lxbow. What happened with the xbows anyways? Didnt they use to have different might level. Now lbowx and Sbows have same might and xbows too but bigger version shoot still slower? For some reason i dont really think extra range compensates for that AT ALL.

Mauler could win already but i'm not giving up iron ball or maul of vice search. + i wanna finish up the pantheon. killed some of them .. Apollo got fucked.. giant strength potion 4 blows and he died in 5 melee rounds. Lotsa crits.. SPLAT. Hera and hades were much more of a problem and still live. Dispel magic really takes the wind out of Mauler sails.

If i recall Robin hood bow was pretty easy to spawn item as well. If i recall right situation was similar with long bows as well so this and olympian bow might be best bows in game if this continues as is.

You're right, Brand got an extra (+5,+5) recently, but upgrading won't "repair" your copy. Part of what you are seeing wrt Robin Hood is that Archers prefer bows (long or short) to crossbows. In fact, they get an extra shot when using bows. So you will be much better off with Bard or Belthronding, though I think Ballista still might be interesting.

But how do you like the biffed shooting range? Personally, I'd still prefer a long bow to either of Artemis or Robin Hood.

Yeah wont deny the "biffed" (where did u come up with that anyways?) shooting range is punitive in some places but i suppose its fine change anyways. And i suspect blink ranges of some high monsters will be far enough to make sbow range too short.
You might wanna give that quiver thingie for archer too. Having to carry 2 full stacks of arrows just to be able to clear 1 monster vault without running out of ammo is highly annoying. Even that wouldnt be enough for higher hp mobs.

Whats up with all those artifact phials u got? I havent found single one on any of my characters. Just feanorian lamps... grr found a perfectly nice +3 speed +3-4 resistance on on my sword master just now and its GOT NO LIGHT + -3 light range. FUK.
