Another insane super-dive. Currently at 900ft, yet my minimum depth is only 450ft, at only 11,029 game turns!

Made it to 950ft in record time (at least for myself), in 11,463 game turns. Now, it's time for me to start checking out the 800-900ft MANY times in preparation for the final descent.

Got killed by Ancalagon. He was surprisingly hard to kill. I used up all healing/Miruvor potions on this guy alone, 4-5x in a row. And I forgot to use !Quickness, again! Ugh...

I think the use of Majesty was part of the problem too. With Majesty activated, one attack on Ancalgon caused him to flee, right away, making it harder to kill him in a timely fashion. Even though he was fleeing, he didn't hesitate to breathe FIRE! I should have just ran to the staircase, instead. And that stupid Vampire interfered with my chances of successfully killing Ancalagon. Nice run, nonetheless.

The Staircase was located just north of this screenshot here. :/

I think that trying to fight Ancalagon at all is pretty crazy, especially without double fire resistance. I'd almost always just run away. The best exception is probably archers, who can fight him from range where the breath does less damage and where they can use their rare arrows on him.
