Without a doubt the most stressful character I have ever had in Sil. This is killing me.

I want opportunist and stun. I need follow through or assassination as a prereq for opportunist. I don't want follow through and assassination could be fun with Delmereth but that would need too much investment with subtlety and cruel blow methinks.

Also... my evasion stinks.

Going great! Delmereth is a super weapon, congrats; and nice stealth gear! I sense that my victory is going to have been short-lived :).

Can't see me using it though. So far I've just been charging with Dramborleg. I struggle if anything notices me so I'm going to need some more evasion and/or protection. I'd kill for a galvorn armour of stealth...

This is terrifying. Don't feel like I have much chance. Really want to find a !Str down here...

I can't believe I did it again. I forgot to sing sharpness for the final fight. No wonder I was doing so little damage. What a waste.

On 3.3.2012 12:15 Psi wrote:
That was really stupid. I'd cleared the throne room including the unrelenting horror as well. I was just not doing enough damage often enough against Morgoth. SoSharpness could well have made all the difference. I can't believe I've done that twice in a row now.

There didn't seem to be any point healing at the end as he was regenerating too fast for me. If only I'd remembered the stupid song...

Does keen senses allow you to see creatures cloaked in darkness (as if you had +1 light), or does it only allow you to see noncloaked creatures just outside your radius?

On 4.3.2012 04:07 ewan wrote:
Sucks to have that kind of slip :(. Sorry. And check out the turncount!

On 4.3.2012 08:00 Psi wrote:
@Ferian - I assume it sort of increases your radius by one without increasing the intensity of light within that radius. Something like that anyway?!

On 4.3.2012 17:54 Scatha wrote:
This was an exciting read, and phenomenally fast. Sorry you ended that way -- definitely frustrating to forget something so major.

Ferian: Keen Senses will let you see creatures cloaked in darkness pretty much as if you had +1 light radius. Note that sometimes they're next to a lit square but have light level -1 on their square, and you won't be able to see them then.

On 4.3.2012 22:05 Psi wrote:
@Scatha - I guess it is the one thing I haven't done all game, hence forgetting it at the climax.

The other frustrating thing is that this char did well enough to convince me that winning the comp is actually still possible. If only there was a little more time...

On 5.3.2012 13:32 half wrote:
Keen senses does two things:

1) shows all creatures that are in line of sight, in a square with zero light, and which have a square with light > 0 adjacent to them,
2) gives a +5 bonus to spotting invisible creatures

On 5.3.2012 13:34 half wrote:
Sorry about the ending to your amazing game. I'm a bit surprised to see 6 potions of miruvor, 3 of healing, 2 herbs of healing in your inventory...

On 5.3.2012 14:29 Psi wrote:
@half - I realised I wasn't doing enough damage when fully buffed so there didn't seem any point healing.
