This guy has had a bit of an odd story. I've been monkeying with lower con (only 49?!) and with less strength (2). He was originally a melee-only challenge and managed to get #twoweapon before putting any points anywhere other than melee. I think the extra dex gave me enough evasion to live until I found protection to survive.

And, Glamdring! Cue the really odd looking goblin from the Hobbit cartoon. +3 to evasion coupled with parry is mighty nice. I guess I'm at 700' and at the point where I need to decide how I want this guy to shape up. I've bought most of what I deem high-importance: pois/loremaster/innerlight/keensenses. I suppose I need to decide what abilities to take on the melee and evasion tree. Riposte is probably a good bet. I dunno.

Ah, that was neat. I got caught between an ancient ruby serpent and Draugluin. I hadn't had much success in killing the heavily armored foes with my Glamdring/Longsword combination so I fell back on the tried and true, mattock it to the face and make it move backwards technique. I maybe could've played that a few different ways, but I was afraid the fire from the serpent would eat me alive. I suppose I could've put Azhagal in my left hand and drank an elemental resist, tried to kill Drauglin and friends to get out of the hallway... or, I had about 8500 exp in the bank before I pumped it all in melee ability... I guess I could've gotten swap position or maybe even the sharpness song. Oh well, this was a good learning experience. High evasion works well but twoweaponing doesn't seem to give me the damage output I would like. Maybe I'll make a rapid attack character next.

Because the opponents get their protection against each strike, two-weapon and rapid-attack strategies can run into damage output issues. I think the Sharpness song could have done a lot to help your killing speed.
