Really the character build here was a variant on the assassination+cruel blow archetype, instead using large weapons, charge to get a lot of damage, and knockback to keep them away if they survived while I went and hid around a corner until I'd Vanished. I found my perception on the low side for identify-by-use, so I was putting points into there, and wondering about buying Loremaster. I think I could have coped at 600-700ft with the current character ... but I guess that's for next time.
