Nearly died to a night mare I mistook for a catoblepas. Luckily I was carrying a mushroom of clear mind. Had a run in with some big breathers too. Lack of speed is getting worrying.

Cleared out a greater vault at 2750', after using a ?Banishment on some time hounds inside. This produced a nice haul of artifacts, including a permanent source of confusion resistance.

Alter Reality should work, or using Word of Destruction to temporarily banish Morgoth. I meant that my feeling is that the odds are not good for scummng 5000' with Morgoth in it, at +20 speed and only one PB2 for food.
