Gondolin sword ... do you mean IF I put down the Amulet of luck? Otherwise I don't see advantages of gondolin blade against +2 stats of *slay* weapon.

I'm not wielding slay dragon for resists, but for +2 str/con. I play pure mage, that means I don't melee, 99% of time. I can kill almost anything with my talismans collection. Found Sword *Demon* which gives me +2 str/int lately, switched to it.

What I don't like, Eytan, is that every decent sword aggravates. OTOH I got used to aggravation because Zarcuthra makes far best damage so far.

Tomorrow I will consult my home equipment and will try to construct some kit combinations, want to boost INT to get 0% fails without losing STR/DEX (4th attact with Zarcuthra) and CON<28 (max hit points), also don't want to lose HL and ESP. Suggestions?

Disease is similar to darkness resistance is that it's nice but not critical early on, more-or-less unimportant for most of the mid-game, but then becomes important in the towards late game (though not quite as important as darkness resist).
