Nick, I know I keep saying it, but we're about there. I'm still getting duplicate names for some randarts (which has been happening for a few versions, but I should probably try and track it down). I still haven't found that new artifact spear (despite realising that I had the depth and rarity the wrong way around before). There is circumstantial evidence that artifacts are a lot more common in Anf 58 with autoscum on since I rebalanced the level feelings (which I guess would be expected). Archery seems better - though the balance is very different now. In the early game archery is probably more effective than melee, whilst in the endgame you can do a lot more damage through melee.

Most frustrating thing is not taking on Morgoth with Belthronding. I did drop Gothmog with it though, so archery is still useful at high levels despite my nerfing of it. Probably ought to release this into the wild now...

For me Dark-elves are often too weak to make them that enjoyable in the early game as anything other than a warrior (or thrall) - and I've recently done that as well.
