The route wasn't as bad as it could've been. The evasion in mountains came in handy, and once in the desert Longbeards move freely through rubble. That's very handy. Super-lucky was Nimloth, which is an undead slayer which came from a player-ghost chest. The desert has a high percentage chance of creating a small spirit vault/pit (now I'm questioning what a vault is... lol) with 4-6 spirits and 4-6 good treasures. The spirits often drop good treasure and of course the pit/vaults have good stuff, sometime artifacts. If Nimloth was lucky I could take down the spirits without losing exp so exp gain was good too.

I'm planning on skipping all the other dungeons. I'm entertaining the idea of dropping to 80 and search for either a dragon pit or demon pit, since I recently found a pike 1d19 of slay demon which examing indicates 177 per blow at 5 attacks. I lose see invisible but I don't recall any invisible greater demons. Famous last words.

The diving isn't going so great at the moment. *If* I get a win it will be sub 49 (once I can cast "slip into the shadows" reliably, I can pick my fights), however turncount is a problem. I really need some lucky finds - speed would be a great help for example!

I've never used the stone of lore - doesn't it do horrid things to you?

As far as diving, I never could've used that route with the original wilderness. After trekking through the original wilderness several times this new wilderness feels like a breeze. I never really felt like I was in much danger with the route I took, even though it looks crazy. On the other hand Longbeard warriors aren't complex and are very sturdy wig-splitters.
