Well, I've had a little progress. I just had Smeagol escape from me after a long fight. He stole half my gold! Do you have any tips for fighting uniques like Smeagol? Apparently he's resistant to wands of magic missle, and won't stay put long enough for a swordfight. My wand of slow monster wouldn't work either.
