Well here's my first Samurai worth posting. I've just cleared out the quests in Morivant and I've found a few nice items. The lucky personality is kinda wierd--my stats would be fairly incredible if I didn't have it, but getting excellent drops all over the place...hard to say if that's a good trade-off.

Anyway, a nice run of resists, and I found a !Con in Doom 1. The vapor quest just worked me over big time, but luckily I managed to finish the last two Blacks. I'm going to head over to a few dungeons I didn't try with Anabasis next.

The other funny thing so far is that I keep getting good or harmless mutations only. +15 searching isn't exactly powerful, but it is kinda fun to have a four-eyed samurai. Is it because he's Lucky?

Killed Stormie while dual-wielding, then found my first Genji gloves. My resists are an absolute mess right now, especially since I just picked up Hammerhand and lost Poison from my dragon helm. I might have to go back to a more defense-oriented kit--maybe even go back to a shield--but for now I want to experiment with this setup...maybe try Stormbringer as well (I'm a Mormegil pro from ToME, so maybe...). Haunted House was very disappointing in terms of loot--the unID ring was WOE, and a staff of speed was all I got for my troubles. On the other hand, nothing ever woke up long enough to hurt me, so I guess no risk-no reward. I had to fail another quest in Angband--Shudde had a pack of Ancient Ds next to him AND a greater titan. I killed most of the Ds, using most of my supplies, but I was still using my reckless attack gear and had no chance against the titan. He dropped me to 50 hp in one round so I bailed. Next up: finish the Castle.

Some frustrating unique hunting netting me 0 useful items. Jack didn't bring his cloak, Dworkin didn't bring his jewel, and Santa didn't bring a damn thing. I've started inscribing and keeping the lvl4 spellbooks I find to annoy myself, although I've already found Samurai4. Hard to believe these things are really dlvl95.

OTOH, I did find Soulcrusher, which is a pretty neat sword. I could dual wield it with Stormie--how's that for a visual? But Slayer is working out quite well indeed. Now to find a serious light source...
