Being able to play a druid was the main reason for me to start with O, but meanwhile there are lots of other reasons.
It's just my 2. char in O, (my first druid died very early on dlvl2), but I *love* it from the beginning on.
No more suicide monsters and finally a druid as a druid should be. I'm totally drunken of this new (to me) variant! ,-)

There was a very close moment on a special level at 700', where I got cornered by black orcs after an unlucky use of my last ?oTeleport. I was very glad to finally recall out with ~30 Hp, even though without any artifact...
Better poor, weak and alive than rich, strong and - dead!

I don't give up, Druids are somewhat hard to play but just too much fun from the first level on! :-)
