A sneak preview for those who follow the ladder - this is a Kyrrus, the new 0.4.3 race.

He just completed his first quest, getting his sword - it's too heavy for him to use as a melee weapon, but it gives him see invisble and he's a mystic so he mainly bolts people to death anyway.

His next task is to get the gold to buy the third mage spellbook, wait for it to show up in the bookshop, and buy it so he can ID all the nice stuff he has.

Just failed a quest to kill 13 Gelatinus Cubes because one of them ate all my spellbooks; luckily, I placed a WoR scroll next to a staircase, so I ran there and got safely back to town. Luckily, the cubes I've already killed gave me so much treasure that I actually made a profit out of the trip; and when going back shamefaced to the guild I noticed that they were now offering me a special quest :)

I no longer need the longsword for see invis but the wisdom bonus is nice and I haven't found a better usable weapon yet. I should probably do so soon as the cube experience showed that I can't rely only on spells.

About one minute after posting the previous update, recalled back into the dungeon, got surrounded by lots of novice spellswords and priests, ran out of many, and discovered I forgot to renew my stock of phase door scrolls.
