test, does this work?

Hey this is my first dump, seems like uploading worked :D

First, thanks for the active players here for submitting your journeys, i love checking them out.

This is my fist character to reach this depth, and i felt quite a bit lost, my inventory was packed full with consumables, am i supposed to throw some away and only keep the most important things?

This death was quite unfortunate, i had a fireresist ring in my inventory but i decided to make 1 step away from the drake first. Got hit with fire for exactly 49 dmg ( my max hp).

In that situation, what would be the best instead? quaff quickness or constitution? or get fireresist un asap?

What do you think about my Exp-allocation? any other abilities i should take if i get that far again?

The build is solid enough, more con is a little easier (for situations such as the 1 that kill you) but 3 is still plenty.

Re gear: You don't need all those herbs of sustenance, you've got enough lembas. I'm doubtful about _slumber ever doing much at that level of stealth & will.

Re Ancalagon: That's unlucky particularly as your shield counts. You don't need all 6 !elemental resist for the throne room. That might of been best.

Thanks for the input,

The shield + the protection from hardiness even rolled 9 out of a max of 10

But at least i died to a unique drake instead of a stupic cat warrior, haha

I also went with almost all starting points into dex to the point where it would cost 10 for the next, i didnt expect to make it this far, this was only a test for a stealth start

Unrelated question,

Does "controlled retreat" work with flanking attacks?
Why would flanking be a prerequisite of controlled retreat of the movement would negate the ability?

Almost got my first character to the thronroom
I felt so weak all the time :(
Is rapid attack a bad idea generally?

I had 2 rings of str (dropped them for evasion in fear of the incoming strong trolls that gave me problems all game long

Whops, i think i overwrote my old post with this

Down the bottom. Protect this dump from being overwritten, tick that box.

Re Controlled retreat: It doesn't work with flanking. They both work with dodge? I don't know I think the logic is more about aesthetics then synergy. Maybe just think of it as upgrading flanking.

Re Rapid Attack: I never take it, so not so sure. With momentum & a battle axe you're probably doing less. (Your doubling everything's protection, not getting full str). I think it's usually a light blade w/subtlety thing for if your buffed str is more then your weapon weight.

Oh dang, i didnt even think about enemy protection.
I just thought -3 hit for 2 chances to hit would be worth it.

I used a +1 shortsword for allmost the whole run, the Axe was only used vs snakes and Raukar.

(thx for the explaination about overwriting dumps)
