I originally wasn't going to post this character because I wasn't expecting him to live very long . . . but then things happened, and before I knew it, I was over halfway done!

--As far as I can tell, having (birth_take_notes) on tends to cause crashing. What gives?

--Early on, the extra sling damage was critical to survival.

--I ended up with three Pit/Nest quests, all of which were for creeping coins. I also found a random creeping coin pit/nest at about the same time. All that early Au allowed me to get better equipment and some stat potions.

--My first Level quest, I believe, was for Ogres. I only had 20 !ofCureCriticalWounds, and what's more, didn't have FrAct yet. Somehow, I managed to avoid getting paralyzed by all the ogre magi and ogre shamasal (yes, that is an actual plural for 'shaman') every time, expect for once. The one time I did get paralyzed, I managed to break free and kill the instigator.

--This marks the first time I've successfully completed a Wilderness quest. Gratuitous amounts of !ofSpeed/_ofSpeed were necessary. Luckily, that quest left me with a =ofSpeed--only a (+4), though.

--I think I first realized that I had a potential winner when I took on a Level quest for hounds. I took out all of them with almost no equipment/consumable destruction.

--My first big melee weapon was 'Anduril,' which was lying on the floor at 1350'. Combined with the =ofSpeed(+8) I found 150' later, I was able to take on the dragon pits/nests that I started running into about that time.

--As far as quests go, I've always taken whatever gave me the biggest boost to fame.

Man, I went without a permanent source of rPois for so long, and now the game's starting to chuck it at me. Zorander is pretty good--secondary resists that are otherwise hard to get, nice stat boosts, and speed to boot!

Nethr and Chaos are still a problem, though.
