A pure shooting psion build. The game would be much faster if I picked offense at CL1, but I really want the Blending for my archery. So, I had to dig quite a bit in the early going.

The DL6 quest was a dud (245gp for a small sword of slay orc) so I'm going to level up a bit in the wild. Stealth doesn't appear to work as often out here, but I just ran across some sleeping Ice Trolls (in the desert?!).

Azog was a tough kill, requiring 4 !Speed (those wear out quickly). Well, I was shooting for 39 damage per round and there were 120+ monsters in the immediate vicinity. Phasing kept putting me too far away (winding corridor) so I had to march back. Probably, I should have brought my seeker bolts at the time, but thought he would be easier. I chose Str for my level up and *still* find my heavy crossbow too heavy. Sigh ...

This pose is a bit unreasonable (Archery III plus Blending III). In practice, I only use Archery I leaving spell points for Traveling.

I wrapped up the Icky Caves to wrap up play for the day. The killing shot on Ubbo-Sathla was perfectly timed to level me up to CL30 (Con + Psionic Healing) then grant the guardian stat boost (Con). Con went from 18/01 to 18/49. Definitely the most satisfying moment of the game so far!

I was tempted to pick speed over healing but am glad I didn't. The BM had a staff of speed for me at last once I returned to town!
