I think the first time I ran into the problem was on Windows XP, and I had just updated my GPU drivers. I have no idea if that is the reason for the problem though, but it is sure annoying. The only thing you can do that will fix it besides using this version is to switch from ASCII to one of the tile modes. I find that the tiles make it all but impossible to see what is happening though. But that is a fix that should work with your game as it is.

Be sure to backup your savegame, or just copy it from your version of Furyband to this one. Depending on how you have Zop's mod installed, the savegame you are looking for may be in a subdirectory of /lib/mods/.

Put this file in furyband\lib\mods\zopfb\pref and overwrite the original. That fixes it for good! I am glad I played around until I figured out what fixed it.
