Keeping a look out for some good dragon shields/gloves, but not much luck there. Also, you have 4 ring slots so you can afford to wear multiple stat boosting rings of power. Of course, finding them is easier said then done :)

When I first started wearing them, healing was at ~95% (went to ~22%). Technically I could work with 66% fail on healing, since I can retreat into walls, I'm not using it in direct combat anyway. I guess what I could do is switch in the rChaos dragon gloves, which I'm relying on the jewel for, this allows me to wear the palantir while walking around.

About two steps in, something comes out of one of the small rooms on the other side of the vault, Ymir the Ice Giant, damn it! Another guy who can't be teleported... and I can't try and fight him now. I have to use the destruction that I have left and hope. While it didn't remove him from the level, it did block his path, good thing he isn't one of the passwall guys!

Safe again, I start to walk the pattern, praying nothing else comes to make trouble. Nothing did! At the centre, I thought I had messed up somehow for a moment, but then I was let in to collect my prize.

His last summon brought Morgoth to the party, the J was fleeing at that point so I refused to relent, killed it with Morgoth whacking at me too.

That weapon you're using packs quite the wallop...I'm impressed you were able to get such high damage on a melee character in PosCheng. I so far have fallen way short of that.

Can't remember if this is your first win in Cheng/PosCheng, but it's always a great feeling.
