One of my more interesting Melee characters to get the Charge+Momentum combo going. I found Fingon in a vault at 400ft. Was using a Greatsword (Defender) for a while until I encountered and I got stuck with this Bastard Sword of Fury with a 3d4 dice. I was on the verge of getting Curse Breaking (and did not get it)... But then, I realized this 'Bastard' dishes out a hell lot of damage in the 30s, not to mention the Whirlwind+Charge+Momentum in effect. That said, I'll just wait for the next Staff of Sanctity to show up, whenever the RNG thinks so. If it gets too hectic, I'll get the Curse Breaking later on.

Time for a break.

As an intermission, here's a screenshot of Othrond putting up his dukes...

Note to self:
1) Figure what these un-IDed rings do.
2) Get a Staff of Sanctity
3) Get Critical Resistance by 600ft or so

Questions for anyone reading this:

A) What should I toss out from my inventory?

B) Between POWER and FINESSE, which one is more effective for Charge+Momentum? I would hate to throw away my Greatswords... :(

You could always try to get Othrond to disarm you if he's not dead yet... but good luck with the '3' in Str.

Hmmm... I'd get rid of the -1, 1d3 armor, the 0,1d2 helm and the defender greatsword. I have a hard time swallowing a weapon that deals less damage in favor of survivability. If I were a borg, I would worship damage. (Those always die, by the way, at least when I watch them). I understand though that evasion is more a premium when you are shieldless.

I always choose power. I think in terms of raw damage much better than any expected criticals... and don't you tend to use heavy stuff? You won't be criticaling (is that a word?) a whole lot with big honking stuff anyway, but the bastard sword is relatively light I guess. Tree-wise, you've already bought charge, which leads you to the point-o-str, while investing in power now doesn't really lead anywhere new. Finesse would at least open up the throne-room-useful rapid attack or two-weapon fighting should you want those later. See, I'm no help. I would still buy power.

Had to get Curse Breaking. And then, this happened...Got surrounded by two Shadow Spiders that I couldn't see, and forgot to consider swapping on the Helm of Brilliance...Ugh.

To top it off, there were FOUR sources of darkness:
2 Shadow Spiders
1 Balrog (Delthaur)
1 Creeping Horror

This is like fighting Gwathraukar once again.
