Trying to get this build the way I want it. She's doing okay so far but around 600' or so is where all her predecessors have fallen. Maybe she'll have better luck.

Down on 850' with 12k or so xp to spend. Not quite sure where I want to spend it yet so just letting it accumulate a bit.

Sitting by the stairs to go down to Morgoth's hall. Not sure if I want to go ahead or hang around a bit for some more xp. She's doing alright but not quite what I wanted so meh.

Nice evasion! Still without a !con boost it seems a bit scary to fight at that depth with so few hp and low armour.
How much damage do you take in an average fight?

On 23.12.2012 15:46 WildKhaine wrote:
Not too much actually. I was a bit worried about the low protection but not much hits me. I take a bit of dmg here and there but nothing too bad. Usually it only takes a hit or two for this chick to take stuff out, especially if she catches'em napping. With the extra attacks she can get fights don't last too long.

On 23.12.2012 15:48 WildKhaine wrote:
Of course the permanent haste from Idril helps a bunch too in keeping things short and me alive.

On 23.12.2012 15:51 WildKhaine wrote:
Trying to think about what to do in the throne room. My defense is good enough to keep me alive I think once buffed up and such. Really need to do more dmg if I hope to kill Morgy though.

And you should be rather safe from criticals which helps a lot

On 23.12.2012 15:58 WildKhaine wrote:
Yep, pretty much. Mainly just have to worry about the heavy hitters. Don't get though much but really hurts me when they do.

Think I'm going to replay a few levels. Want a bit more xp to round out some stuff. Plus really need a better weapon.

On 23.12.2012 16:00 WildKhaine wrote:
I believe another 10-15k xp should be enough but might take too long so we'll see.

On 23.12.2012 16:05 Thraalbeast wrote:
I thought Galadriel seemed a bit low on damage output for the fight in the throne room. But it's hard to tell how many crits you score from just the numbers.

I'm currently using Anguirel (+1,3d3) [+1]. Do you know how the sharpness works compared to a slay? As I understand from briefly looking at the code it seems Anguirel ignores half of the armour of the foe. Is this correct? Regarding slays I have just assumed that they add an extra damage die. Is that correct? Is it the same for brands?

You've got it exactly right, Thraalbeast.

On 23.12.2012 16:24 WildKhaine wrote:
Yep, you are correct. As far as I know that's how it works but I've never payed too much attention to the numbers. I just mash keys and hope stuff dies :)

I mean 'paid'. I shouldn't type when I'm tired.

Okay, scrounged up 9k xp. Think that'll do.

On 23.12.2012 17:06 WildKhaine wrote:
Wished I'd found a better weapon but might just go with the Longsword of Fury I picked up. Haven't seen any swords worth a damn all game really. Might just go with Glend and spend some xp on a few abilities to go with it. Haven't decided yet.

On 23.12.2012 17:13 WildKhaine wrote:
I'm leaning towards the longsword though. Have this need to really go all out. Be interesting to see how this character does in a real clusterf*ck.

On 23.12.2012 17:37 debo wrote:
The Wrath effect on the longsword is going to completely negate your ability to assassinate things :(

On 23.12.2012 17:48 WildKhaine wrote:
Yeah, pretty much.

On 23.12.2012 18:03 WildKhaine wrote:
So, went with the Longsword of Fury. Buffed up (!Str, !Dex, !Con, !Gra). Bought a bunch of abilities to round things out and descended. Sung Slaying and Sharpness. Then just went a few south from the stairs and hit the first thing in range. Pretty much smacked the crap out of everything really fast. Very nice. Morgoth spent quite a bit of time reeling and such. Didn't even get off an earthquake. Fun. I'll grab the Sils and make the ascent later.

Didn't even use any healing items for the whole fight either.

@Thraalbeast - Thanks. That sounds like a good start. I'm sure you'll get your first winner soon. And Merry Christmas to you too.

@debo- You know, didn't even think to open it. Oh well. Wonder if it was anything good? Guess it'll remain a mystery.
