Idea for this build is to find a Mace of Disruption (Order) that's 40d1. Use Weaponsmith to make it Slay Evil, and Hephaeustus boosts that to Kill evil for 120 base damage per blow. 5 base blows, plus a +3 =oExtraAttacks, and that's 960 base damage, 640 of which was contributed by Hephaestus and Weaponsmith! That'll put Uncle Ares to shame.

Life should be much better with Hephaestus having both Acid Corrosion immunity and Disenchant. I expect very high AC in a few levels.
