Last dungeonboss was It, my heart skipped a beat. Always nice to draw that hard to detect monster summoning thief. But RNG screwed It giving him one charge of summon monster. Poor thing, he died leaving a trail of bolt behind him. Easy victory. And right after that... RNG scrwed me over with some new boots from It. Speed!!! ew... +1, great :P

I think ill just continue diving in Angband for a few more bosses and then head back to the Castle for some exp (and some stat pots? already found an Int and Dex pot).

I hope i draw magic eat... My last (cheated beyond saving after the last post) Spellstorm had it with 10 fireball rods. 80 mana a charge, sweet mana regeneration. It think the 11% cap on it's failrate is a small price to pay for it, it would be too powerfull at 0%. If i don't get it, i might even think about scrambling my power untill i have it. But maybe i will wait untill level 31? for darkness storm... I love that spell. Combined with lazer eye (lightness beam) you can kill everything.

So.... 12 atacks 1 hit. Thats a ratio i can live with. Somtimes he even didn't got that one hit. Poor thing. I needed to phase out a few times because when he hits, it hurts and he shot a few manabolts doing full damage. 1 manabolt did the same damage as 40-50 rounds of his melee? :D Ofcourse he dropped crap <3x> but o well... i survived!

OW sidenote... I found a full esp of see inv amu on that level. Sometimes a risk is wellrewarded.

Samurai posture is not so good for a spellcaster approach. The Huujin posture grants reflection, so it might be useful occasionally. Kouki increases your melee abilities, so you'll only want to use it while fighting with your weapons. Musou posture (at CL40) is pretty good later on, but you'll need to have good melee damage to use it. Basically, you stay put and let monsters attack you, and when they do, you counterattack with your melee weapons. Any damage you take is cut in half, and it grants all resistances, so its pretty nice. But you need respectable melee damage for the counterattack to be effective. Well, you can always shuffle your abilities again since Double Resistance is the power you really want ;)

At the moment, your best bets are Mana Bolt I and Clear Mind, I guess. I'd personally hang on til CL41 to see what power I got before shuffling again. You'll never get the best power in every slot, but should rather hope for getting a key combination for the end game (like Mana Storm, Eat Magic and Healing, or something similar).

And -20sp for starburst would change the world i think. :) I run out of sp too fast atm for using it as mainspell.

Still alive, melee is my main damage now, you can't just store Slayer in your house. So now my most used abilities are berserk and quick walk. Starburst is just for shooting heavy hitters (found an ent) and most abilities are not used at all. :)

Just diving in Angband hopefully getting some nice drops. No luck after the Cloning Pits.

But being alive to this point surprises me, there are enough monsters who can kill me. :)
