Nick, you must be mad. This race/class combo is painful. Life is spent within a few squares of ths stairs protecting the pitifully few hitpoints the character has been blessed with. Until I found my first =Con, I had around 120 HP at CL30. Ouch.

BoS(+10) from a troll pit, suddenly made the character viable, albeit with instakill always a possibility... ho hum.

Since the dump I've found a heavy Elvenkind armour and also rediscovered why I hate old-school amnesia attacks so much.

Found another thing I hate about O. Killing most things beyond their depth results in a gold drop - even for uniques. Therefore if you attempt to play out of your depth you are penalised rather than rewarded. Dispelling pits just leaves you very rich when a few more stat potions would be welcome...

Also discovered that the tiles don't always match up. Mature dragons appear as young, young as babies and babies as 'd's... I guess that is due to the reclassification of dragons in FA before O was updated.

Still doing silly things that could kill me and will be gutted when it happens. You get quite attached to a character when you have to put so much work in to get this far.

@HM. If the latest Death was still alive, I would have held off finishing the job. However with Death dead I had no choice as I didn't want to form an obsession of my own...
